Since its inception over 20 years ago, I have been a supporter of the Bridge To The Future – Rites of Passage (BTTF-ROP) organization.

As a parent, I wanted my daughter, Deirdre, to have a well-rounded high school experience. The ROP program was the perfect supplement to Deirdre’s academic, extracurricular, and faith-based activities. The program offered coaching on career planning, financial literacy, community service, wellness, and more. The most enjoyable experience was the final graduation ceremony where the students shared and celebrated their ROP journey and experiences with family, friends, and the local community. The realization that over 325 local students have graduated from this program speaks to BTTF-ROP’s exemplary programming and contributions to Sonoma County and its youth.

I joined the Board in 2020 to help the organization transition and sustain through the pandemic and beyond. It has been very rewarding to help the organization evolve by embracing more technology; updating and rebranding the organization; and developing new organizational leadership for the next generation of ROP graduates.
